Or another time?  All my life my family and I have opened gifts on Christmas Eve.  But this year my Mom is in the nursing home so it will be more convenient to bring her home Christmas Day for dinner and then open the gifts in the afternoon.  I'm just thankful that my Mom is still with us and able to enjoy the holidays with all of us.

I always thought it would be harder on them to leave the nursing home and go back home for a little while and then have to go back to the nursing home.
