I've switched to using almost entirely eco-friendly cleaning products -- often just vinegar and water, but recently made some homemade "Soft Scrub" using a mixture of baking soda, castille soap, hydrogen peroxide, and water, which worked wonders on my shower. I also started composting, which is really rewarding. There's so much less waste from my house going to the landfill; it's going back into the earth instead.

I recycle a lot, and try not to waste food. If we can prevent the amount of food going to waste, we can feed a lot more hungry children. I find that my local grocery store throws away lots of produce that is past its prime. Maybe they can give it to a shelter for immediate use. Any thoughts?
