what i do go through the unread replies.. if there is anything i had to say i complete the replies then move on to new topic that i can answer. that makes atleast 5 - 10 msgs a day.

Once i get some question on my mind i post it right away here that makes atleast 3 newtopic post.

I actually not take mroe than 5 - 10 days for me to complete the min requirement for Forum Posts bonus.

It's always nice to find a new, interesting thread on the different discussion boards.  When I run out of places to comment, I figure other people might be experiencing the same dilemma, so I try to think up a new thread.  This is only post #6 for me this month, but I was out of town during the 4th, and I got way behind! Also, some days the words just flow much easier than other days.  I guess it's like writer's block!

I am a newbie and I am trying to understand how this works/is judged.  I think I read in the primary post describing this bonus that "if you are posting just to reach 30 posts for the month, you won't qualify for the bonus".  If that is the case, then aren't threads that simply refer to an individual user's effort to reach 30 posts in violation of that? Does it turn on someone actually analyzing your posts for thoughtful and useful content?

It seems to me that if I started a thread basically saying that I am getting closer to 30 posts, but am not quite there yet (and offer no other real content) that I would be "posting, just to reach the bonus".  Am I on target here, or am I missing something.  I guess it really isn't black and white, but instead is kind of gray and I am wondering what the measuring stick is.

I'm not looking for a shortcut or loophole to get to 30 myself, I'm just trying to understand how this is judged and enforced.

Maybe you could discuss memories you would never want to lose. I remember when Disney Channel used to be premium and then hybrid. My cable company back then was TCI, and while Disney Channel was premium or hybrid, TCI wouldn't let me get the network full time without a cable box. That company would only enable inexpensive channels.

Very good points, but you find both extremes and a lot of middle ground here. Personally I like to feel like I am spending my time in a worthwhile manner, so I only comment on posts where I have something meaningful to say and I still have no problem getting to 30 each month. Since I have only missed one month since July 2009, it must be working alright.

I never have set a goal for myself with posting.  I simply look through the list and see if I would like to respond on the subject.  I don't get here every day, but I like the idea of trying to post three a day for the first ten days.  Some days, I end up reading more than contributing.  I love that we can post at our own pace and nothing specific is required each day.  I never have a problem getting to my thirty by the end of the month.
