I was born and raised in Iowa.  Have been a Minnesotan now though since 1978....so definitely more Minnesotan than Iowan now.

It is NOT warm here (or Iowa) in the winters.

Well, I live in Chandler, AZ and if you're looking for a "warm" state I must say this will definitely fit.  Only thing is summer is a little more than "warm" - more like hot.  So if you don't mind a little "heat" might want to give it a try!!!

I live in Tampa, Florida - I love Florida but I lived here all of my life I'm ready to move to another state. Any suggestions? Looking for a warm state.....

Thxs

Well, if you're looking for warm, I'm in Arizona and it's DEFINITELY warm here.  Winters are normally mild - 60's and 50's (but we DO, at times, go as low as the 30's and on rare occasions 20's).  Summers are HOT - well OVER 100 degrees (today's high will be 111 degrees).  It's a dry heat, LOL - like sticking your head in an oven on 400 degrees.  I don't mind it too much.  Everywhere you go you're in air conditioning, so no biggie, although your car will certainly get hot as heck if you park it outside.  All in all, Arizona's a great place to be and I really love it.

Chandler, AZ is where I live.  It's really beautiful here.  There are no lack of stores or shopping.  Everything is within close distance.  Homes are well kept and you can rent or buy.  I think you might like it, but do your research and see for yourself.  Good luck!  :)

I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and now live about an hour south of there in Columbia.  I've never lived in Florida, but my father-in-law lived in Tampa, like tgreen20, and we visited there often.  The weather was HOT and the seasons didn't change like in Tennessee.  It's a fun place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.  Come to Tennessee!!

Texas!  You don't want the kind of temps we've been having lately; way too hot!  Our AC runs 24/7 but its been so hot it still gets to around 75-77 in the late afternoon in our house.  We had a cool snap come thru today though and its only 92 outside lol.  Cool snap won't last but a few days then I'm sure we'll pop back in the 100's.

I live in the north eastern part of N.M.. We have all four seasons here, it can get down to -15 once in a great while (not often) and will get up to 112 in the summer.  It is the high dessert.  But most of the time it will cool down to 70-60 in the nighttime time good sleeping weather. Right now it is so humid as we have had over 20" of rain since April which is not always the case.  We had been in draught for 12 years until it started raining some last year. Not a lot but better then before. So now everything is so lush and green and of course the weeds have grown so much this year. My front flowerbed is a jungle right now. As soon as some plants bloom part of it will be taken out. I am going change it out this year, hope I am not making a mistake. But want to se something else out there and will transfer some plants to another side of the house.

I was born in California and lived there until I was 20 years old.
Now I live in Oklahoma.

thats kinda funny i also was born in California and now live in Kansas
It seems like a lot of people have moved from California to more "central" states where the cost of living is not as high.
I know quite a few people here in Oklahoma that have moved from Southern California.
