Like any bruise, it takes time to fade.  Did you hit him back?

I never had a black eye but if you get a black and blue mark on your body from bumping into something it will take some time before it completely goes away.   Now about him punching you in the eye........

First take Arnica and Bromeline to heal it faster.

Second leave that guy, report him and never put yourself in a position that he can hit you again.  Hitting is never the solution.  You do NOT deserve that.  He should be arrested for assault.  Please get help and stay away from this man jerk.  I wouldn't even trust him alone with his son.  :angry7:

I hope it heals soon and you no longer have to deal with that kind of abuse.

I think it just depends on the person and their immune system to how long it takes them to heal.

OMG,  :o so sorry he hit you  :( I have no idea how long it takes. But I hope you are ok.

What a coward!,  hitting a woman, that man is NOT a man ! He needs a good lesson from a real gentleman.

The area is surrounded by dead or damaged blood cells. It might take awhile for your body to 'clean' out the damaged cells... Iron and good blood flow can speed up the blood cleaning process. Iron helps repair red blood cells and good blood flow from hot/cold stimulates blood flow... Cold reduces inflammation and hot expands blood blood capillaries.

I remember one time it hit a exercise equipment in the gym with my leg... The bruising lasted for about a year... Still have it there... If I followed my advice, I will probably get it healed faster but meh

Been there, kick him to the curb that's what I did. AND don't believe the standard "i'm sorry it will never happen again" that's BS
