Addressing the word cult

I looked it up online and came up with a couple of meanings.

A system of religeous veneration directed toward a particular figure or object.

A misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing.

So i guess the catholic religeon can be a cult.They direct admiration for Mary and bow down to dead slabs of wood and concrete.

Singing the national anthem they put their hands on their heart and direct admiration for a flag.

JWs worship God with spirit and truth.Obey Gods command NOT to bow down to dead idols.They remain neutral in world conflicts.They respect world governements paying their taxes and when their worship is compromised to disobey a command from Jehovah they refer to what the apostle Peter said,we must obey God as ruler rather than man.They adhere to the bible as their authority.Something christendom claims to do but DOESNT!!

If God had wanted us to know birth of Jesus HE would have allowed it just like we know every yr what day Passover <Nisan 14>Jewish calendar comes on.It complys with Jesus command to MEMORIALIZE it because HIS death was significant in ransoming mankind from death and vindicating Jehovah as God Almighty and TRUE God.

"a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister."

which probably a close approximation of the JW's. While I wouldn't categorize them as "sinister", they certainly have some strange,aberrant theology that goes against even the most fundamental principles in scripture. Such as rejecting the Trinity, as well as the Deity of Christ and venerating the name "Jehovah" above all else.

Well then i guess you reject Psalms 83:18 about Jehovah being the most high and reject Jesus saying the father is greater than I RE trinity.

But it was nice of you to say they arent sinister so maybe there is some hope for you afterall.

I only googled cult and put down 1st 2 meanings i saw.I aint writing a book on it.Again maybe you should check out other meanings of it and apply it to some of the other examples.They fit like a glove.

I meant to ask you also,are you rounding up your cult in Babylon the Great to celebrate St Valentines Day also?LOL!!

BTW......Jesus referred to "begotten son"because HE was directly created by Jehovah.First born of all creation.

Its obvious HE isnt God almighty.He died as a man.He was mortal.Bible says God is alpha and omega.Never had a beginning or end.

Man if logic was your friend,youd have quite a few enemies!

Bible is also likened to double-edge sword.It discerns the heart conditon of us.

In the simplest terms from my understanding, a cult has a "leader" that is blindly followed no matter how ridiculous, hypocritical, or immoral he or she is. Often the leader requests money... and blind devotion. Look at Jim Jones... what a massacre.

Non-believers of bible truth only make for a better witness.Good examples of how Jesus when tested always came up with the RIGHT reply.Eventually they put him to death because he backed up what his father wanted and was the truth!!

Its NOT always in ones heart to accept it.Satan was able to persuade many angels to join his rebellion as well as convince A&E to start the human race on the wrong foot.

But as i have mentioned many times here Gods name means "HE causes to become"and HIS original purpose will come to pass.

By that definition, doesn't that make Christianity a cult? I mean it did start out with a small group of people that, to the religious of the day, seemed both strange and sinister.

To me it seems those out there that refer to JWs are a cult say it to be hurtful!They are a worldwide brotherhood that adhere strictly to the bible as Gods word.They are in 236 lands preaching the good news of Gods kingdom that Jesus taught them to do.They have an identifying quality when they are together of "love among themselves"as Jesus said true worshippers would have.Of course i understand many have been brought up with other doctrines or just wanna decide for themselves what is good and bad.I was brought up catholic and realized they dont teach Gods word & felt that JWs teach truth from bible.Much of it just made too much sense to me!!They dont get paid to preach.There is NO collection at their meeting either.Jesus said you learned FREE...GIVE FREE!!

When i see untruths or a bashing here about them i am more than happy to defend them and try to use bible to back it up.

Let me tell you all this.They have been told today NOT to waste their time when going door to door with those that have no interest.Move on!!!

I recall that Madeara.Very sad indeed.I am also old enuff to remember Charles Manson and his insane ways.Imagine he is still alive today in jail and i am sure he has been quite comfortable.I just saw the prosecuter the past yr passed away.Many think when that happened in 69 that was kinda the insanity that started this world where you began to lock your doors at night.

I can't speak for everyone, but most people don't consider the JWs as a cult to be "hurtful". But because they deny essential Christian doctrine, such as the Trinity and the Divinity of Christ. If you can't get even the most elementary doctrines of Christianity correct, you have to be labeled a cult.

You would look mighty foolish to consider them hurtful.

Also if you wanna hang on to your Babylon the Great BS thats your decision.The fact that Jesus always didnt always exist always is plain as dayday.He is a begotten son because he was directly created by Jehovah.1st born of all creation says Colosians.Also bible says God is the Alpha and omega....never had a beginning or and end.Jesus was created first as a spirit son and then born as a man.He also died as a man.He was mortal.Not the Alpha and Omega.

I remember you asked a question why JWs dont call call God "I am"....First off..why dont you?They dont have to.They know HIS name...See KJV Psalms 83:18.....

Satan would have loved to destroy the bible.God didnt allow that to happen.But HE has allowed him to alter it.It defines a persons faith.I am seen you put scriptures up that emphasis Gods name but NEVER refer to it.Why dont yo call HIM "I am"....LOL!!!
