Pay Pal

How many people use it in general? Do people see any downsides to it? Are there any comparable websites that are better?

I always use my PayPal debit card to earn my 1.5% cash back and I love it! It's connected to my checking account so if my funds are low or zero in my paypal then it comes right out of my checking.. I can make anywhere between $20 to $50 per month. It's a win win situation! :)

I have been using Paypal for many years. I originally signed up for it to be able to use it on eBay, but have since started using it to pay and receive money for other sorts of transactions. I really like it. It can be hacked, of course, but their Support people do a good job of preventing that. There are other services, including Google Wallet, WePay, 2CheckOut and Skrill but none of these are as widely uses and accepted as Paypal is.

I have had paypal for many years and have never had any trouble with it and have always been satisfied with it.  It has been very helpful in that I earn money from a couple of sites that only pay via paypal.

I find PayPal better than a credit or debit card would be. PayPal protects personal information (like passwords) better. However, sometimes anyone will do a ruse and try to phish anyone's PayPal account.

I use it have to look into the debit card part didn't even know they had that. It is great for surveysite money instead of amazon gift cards.Noticed lately that amazon prices are high on some things will go more with paypal.

I enjoy using pay pal, i have not used it in a long time to buy anything. But  I am thinking about  going on ETSY soon and will be using it there.also have a few things to sell on e-bay soon. But right now i am just having my fusion cash payments going in.  Not sure what i am saving for, but at least the money will be there when i want it.

I only use it to get paid for online sites I do.  Then I transfer the money to my checking account.  I like it.  Never had any issues with it.

I use Paypal to do online shopping.  I recently started using Paypal to have my renter send me monthly rental payments. So far so good.

Do you really get 1.5% back?  I think I only get 1% back using my PayPal debit card, so I am jealous!

To the OP, I use PayPal often and much more since I got the debit card.  That is the perfect way to keep  track of any FC earnings or other sites/apps that pay with PayPal.  It rarely goes over into my connected bank account.  I am often able to use PayPal as my "fun money" separate and apart from the regular bills.  But when things get tight or that unexpected expense pops up, it can be a bit of an emergency fund or buffer.
