I would love to be  a free spirit and just open my car doors up to anyone.  But I'm well - scared of the "what if?" .  However years ago my 2nd husband was traveling from TX to WI.  He met someone that wanted a couple of motorcycles delivered to WI.  Since we was heading that direction he obliged.  He hardly knew these folks.  In exchange before he left for the trip they filled his tank up with gas.  When he left the drop off spot again his gas tank was filled.  A win win for both ends of the transaction.

It depends on the circumstances, but I wouldn't say, "No, I will never give a ride to strangers." It really depends.

I feel bad not to help someone with a ride, but I'm more scared of getting mugged or something worse.

I don't trust people easily and I would never give a stranger a ride.  If I don't know you I continue on my way.

Back in my younger, indestructible years, I picked up many hitch hikers. But it was a different time.
Now I won't pick up a stranger.  If an elderly person needs help, I'll be there.

You read about people gettin beat up in front of others and no one comes to their aid.

When Jesus said,"the greater number of the love would cool off in the last days"....HE was right!!

I would never do that. I have given rides to people who I barley know though so I don't know if that counts or not.

I would never give a stranger a ride. I see too many people trying to take advantage of other people by giving them a fake sob story.

I don't do it ever either- I just can't take any chances bc I am a single mother of two and I would hate for me to do something out of kindness and lose in the end! I hope in other ways!

I would love to offer rides to strangers, but it's just way too risky now. Every time I drive by a bus stop at night (or when it's cold/raining)  my heart says offer someone a ride and make the world a better place. However, I'd be putting myself in jeopardy to do so. No thanks.
