I am so sick of hearing about the shooting in Orlando.  It is done, it is over, let it go.  Stop rehashing it over and over and over.  It is on every channel, interrupting tv shows, dominates all the news, is the topic of every conversation every where.  I am tired of it.  They are giving the shooter exactly what he wants....instant fame.

There is nothing new to report, the shooter is dead, let it go.

I know its terrible and all the news is on it all day now. They have to pick at every thing he did or said. Its a good thing there isn't more like this in the US anyway. Maybe other countries like Syria experience this all the time.

True.  And they are not telling any thing new.  And they are giving him and the organization he represents exactly what they want....FAME!

It is like any one wishing to get attention. Something big happens and every one jumps on the band wagon hoping to gain a little something from the notoriety. It is amazing how many of the on line news venues borrow the same story. Check out a big story on CNN or Fox and you will find that it is, often times, word for word-the same story borrowed from the original source. The sad thing is that this glorifies the perpetrators and gives those seeking attention more reason to commit atrocious crimes. It opens up all kinds of old debates that have been hashed out relentlessly. It gives agencies more reasons to push poorly thought out plans that get made into laws by blood sucking politicians. Take, for instance, today's need to get to the airport three hours early so that you have a chance of making it through security lines to get to your gate.

I guess people need to understand that's why they keep talking about it.

I don't think anyone is capable of understanding such a horrific ordeal!  That could be the whole problem!

This comes as a surprise to me just because I haven't heard anything about it lately.  But then again, I don't watch the news.  If you are seeing it like crazy then I do understand your thoughts.

I try not to watch to much of that kind of new's, cause they do talk about the same topic to much!

To solve the problem, my child, just turn off the Television and turn on the radio, listen to music instead...

One more reason why I'm glad we don't have TV and don't watch the news! The media goes overboard, because they all want to be sensational. And on top of that, there are politicians in office who are using the tragedy to try to push their agendas, which is even more sickening than the media using it as sensationalist news.

I am guessing that some of the victims' friends and families find some sort of solace in hearing the details.  I agree, like anything else, the media goes overboard with trying to outdo one another.  The best solution if it bothers you a lot is to turn off the TV (or switch to non-network programming).  Way back when, the OJ trial was on TV every single day and some people were addicted to that.  There are those who want/need to know every gory detail and then there are those who don't!
