And they are calling for rain?
« on: August 11, 2016, 01:52:05 pm »
This heat stretch is insane. The humidity takes such a toll on me.

They are calling for rain today and tomorrow.  It looked like it was not going to rain for a while, and went to my son's to work in the garden. 5 minutes or so later it started to rain. I quickly finished up, and came home (across town).

Got home and the sun came out!  Okayyyyyyy..........

Now it is clouding over again. I do hope we actually get a good, cooling rain. One that drains away this insane humidity.

Take a cool cooling shower to lower your body temperature...you will notice the changes immediately.

we had some nice rain yesterday but it didn't really help the drought much.
now it is really hot and humid and going to be that way for the next few days.
ope everyone finds a way to stay cool. Just hope my AC keeps working! :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

We had heavy rain yesterday for about 30 minutes.  It didn't do anything about the humidity.  Today it's in the 90's and very humid.

We got some of the fringes of that Mexican hurricane here, it poured all night long. After a brutal start to our summer the plants are getting some relief.

Another reason I like living in Oregon, they say if you don't like the weather just wait a few minutes. (No, it's not always true)

We went without rain for weeks then it came in buckets for a few days, now it is very hot and muggy outside.

This is why I will never move to Florida. My grand-kids are there, but it is too hot and humid for me all year round. Fortunately, they all plan to move back....Yay!!

It's very hot outside.  The weather for the last few days are scorching.

I wish we could get some rain here but it would probably get hot and sticky afterwards. I'm over Summer and this hot weather.

It rained here all day yesterday and this morning but hot and humid the rest of today.  I take the rain and summer any day compare to the winters we have.

I wish it would rain here.  It's going to be close to a hundred degrees here today & tomorrow...  and the humidity yesterday was horrible.   I'm envious of those getting rain with the heat.

It's been raining here for a couple of days now. Cooled off enough were I am able to turn off the air, open the windows & the thermostat in the house is a little under 75. I love it! Not supposed to stop raining until the end of the week. Fine by me!

We are going on our 9th day in the 90°+ weather.  What little bit of rain we have had has been quick downpours that cause more trouble than benefit.  It just gets hotter and more humid!
Have a wonderful day!
