Do you time your surveys?
« on: October 22, 2016, 04:02:38 pm »
I mean keep track of how long it takes. I know a lot of them have a minimum and some have a maximum. I've been disqualified dozens of times for going to fast. I mean, when I enter all my normal info like age, sex, income, job, rent, etc... I can click and hit an arrow in one second. But I realize they see that is too fast... When I'm just used to the generic questions and can go through them fast. Maybe I should start waiting like 5 seconds before clicking...

I do keep it in mind how long the survey site claims the survey is going to take and about how long it really takes.

Thursday, I was on another site and there was a survey that was supposed to take 4 minutes and paid 29 cents. I knew that I had to leave in 20 minutes so I tried it. I gave it 25 minutes and then was forced to give up because I had to go to work. When I came home from work, I was able to go into my history and access the survey and finish it but it took at least 5 more minutes.

So, this was a survey that claimed to be 4 minutes long paying 29 cents. It took me at least a half hour for the 29 cents. The one saving grace is that it was about politics and the upcoming presidential election. It was interesting.

If a survey says that it is going to take about 15 minutes, be certain that it takes you a minimum of 16 minutes  or longer. Otherwise your payment might get revoked for going too fast. Other times, the computer might throw out your survey for going too fast and there will not even be a record of your ever taking the survey. You should always time yourself to make certain that you do not finish too fast or too slow.

I time mine too just to see how accurate their prediction is, which is rarely, but I do normally get credited for the ones I qualify for

Not really. Most of them never take as long as they say they will.

Yes, and most seem to take longer than what they say. Or click on one that says 4 minutes and followed by a screen that says it will take approximately 25 minutes.

I usually only pay close attention if it's one that says you must take at least a certain amount of time to complete.

I do not time them, but do pay attention to the directions when they indicate that finishing to quickly will disqualify you; there have been some that said for example 15 mininutes and it seems that they just went on and on, I have just ended  them myself if I got tried and there seemed to be no end in sight and I know they have gone way beyond the time indicated for the most part when I can qualify I try and  stick it out to the end.

I don't time them, but I look at an estimate. I also quit the survey if I feel it's taking too long. Especially those surveys that ask a whole set for questions for each brand, and there are 10+ brands to go through.

I'm afraid if I timed them I would end up quitting, so I just put my brain in neutral regarding the stuff that doesn't matter and only concentrate on answering truthfully.

i go slow too. if u hurry thru the survey it kicks u out. i've learned the hard way to go slow, even if you are a fast reader and good with computers give each page a couple of seconds.

I time the so called real short ones. The ones between 1 and 5 minutes. Those time frames are never the case though. It usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete them. :bad:

I have a habit of keeping track of mine. I too hate the ones you click on that say 6 minutes and take 15-20. Your Surveys is the worst for that especially if you get DQ'd from initial and they offer you another for same payout. With them, I usually try to hit the high paying ones even if their time is high as well (25-35 min). I have been DQ'd before and took another that was shorter for same high payout.

I tend to be pretty quick with surveys and have had to force myself to slow down. I usually take a quick break in surveys that I want to complete more slowly. I'm high strung and can read and make decisions quickly and survey companies don't seem to like that lol

Most surveys should not take you that long to complete them. Most survey take about 10 to 15 mins to complete. Others can take 20 to 30 mins to complete.
