Who is her daughter?

Carrie Fisher

I hope Debbie is alright. The last thing we need from 2016 is another celebrity death.

Yes, I just read that. I really hope she pulls through. I'm thinking about Carrie's daughter, Billie, this is the last thing she needs right now.

I can only imagine the stress she is under, having to bury her own child. I don't have any kids of my own yet, but I've watched family members have to deal with this, and it certainly can and will take a mental and physical toll on you. Death in general is such a terrible situation. We grow up coming into daily contact with people, learning to love them, making memories with them, appreciating them, and then one day, they are gone. When I was younger, death never really bothered me. My paternal grandfather died when I was 7, my maternal grandfather when I was 12, and some great-aunts and great-uncles here and there. Don't get me wrong, I was saddened by their death, but I think I really began to look at death differently just last year, when my only aunt passed away. It wasn't that we were that close, but she had a heart of gold, and would give you the shirt off her back if needed. I didn't appreciate her as much as I should have, didn't spend as much time with her as I could have, and now that she's gone, I wish I had. I can't undo the past, the only thing I can do is learn from it, and change the future. But Aunt Diane, there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about you, and miss you.

I lost my older son when he was 43. He had four daughters.

You never get that split in your heart healed.

So she looses her mother and grandmother within a few days.  I hope she has some family to lean on.

My heart goes out to Billie Lourd.  A double tragedy for her losing both her mother and her grandmother within such a short time.

Billie Lourd with her mother Fisher and grandmother Reynolds, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles in 2015. Lourd posted the picture to Facebook on the day of her grandmother’s death.

Prayers for the family and loved one.  It is hard enough to lose one loved one and much more to lose two within one day of each other and for it to happen around the Christmas holiday will make the holidays rough in the years to come.
Have a wonderful day!
