Do you freak-out when you clothes don't match?
« on: January 26, 2017, 08:24:45 am »
Today is Clashing Clothes Day! Do you think the high schools are doing this? My kids really went through click stuff. I really never got upset when my socks didn't match. I did get embarrassed when my blouse got put on inside out, never clashing clothes. Have a gr8 day  :present:

I don't get freaked out but I make sure my clothes match before I put them on.  Once in college I put on a different shoe on each foot.  The shoes were similar looking like soft black ballerina type with elastic in the back.  I was wearing black socks and black pants.  I went through half the day before I looked at my feet and noticed I had two different pairs of shoes on.  I was so self conscience the rest of the day.  I thought people were looking at my feet and seeing my mismatched shoes.

It that happens again, try smearing your lipstick off the edges of your lips and I bet they will never notice your shoes.

Clashing Clothes Day? They have a day for everything!  :) The first thing that comes to mind is the beginning of the movie "Clueless," when she's sweeping through a computer to help put together an outfit and she picks a top and bottoms that don't go together and it says "MISMATCH!" I don't obsess over things like that too much. I went through the whole day a few days ago with my socks not matching and I didn't even realize it. lol

It has happened to me that I have worn mismatched shoes.  I was self-conscience about my feet after I noticed, but I doubt many people noticed.

I stopped caring about my appearance a long time ago. Who am I trying to impress? Nobody.

No.  I really don't care.  Although I do usually match.

I would always try to lay my clothes out, so that everything matches or at least complements each other, however one day when I was still working  I had on a navy shoes on one foot and a black one on the other, they were the exact same style but I was in a hurry and did not noticed until I got to work I just laughed and kept it moving, it was more funny then being freaked out.

We used to have a clash day during homecoming week in high school, it was easy enough to do but it made for a hard day because I HATE clashing clothes.  At least it was only for one day a year.

I don't actually freak out when my clothes don't match, but I do make sure they do match and that I have them on correctly before I go out of the house someplace. Just a quick check in the mirror each time.
