Summer jobs
« on: January 26, 2017, 01:20:14 pm »
Does anyone have any ideas about what some good summer jobs are for adults. I am going to be out of work during the summer and I want to keep some money flowing and have something to do.

how about fast food? If you live near an amusement park like six flags   they have a lot of summer jobs or maybe a local park district

Avoid the food industry because it is messy and risky. Try driver, office work, banking and even janitorial.

Go to a temp agency and let them find you something. If you can handle a lot of labor, you can always find landscaping companies that need help.

A lot of banks hire "floating staff" during the summer- so if you don't mind driving you could do that. And there is always retail.

I am going to try to find a summer job too. What working at a local mall? I'm going to apply to some clothing stores.

Depends on where you live.  I honestly do not understand questions like this.  Where should I get a job?  How would we know?  Nobody on here knows where you live, what you are willing to accept as a job or anything else.  If it is only something you want for the summer I would suggest fast food or retail.  But most people roll their eyes and say they ain't doing that.  Most places are not going to waste time and energy training you if you are going to leave in a couple of months.

Best thing you can do is go into a work center and ask they usually have something for you,  That's what I did from High school till college.

Sometimes the parks have a need or seasonal workers,  what about as a tutor children always need help during the summer especially if they struggled during the school year, if you have a hobby  might be something you could turn into a side hustle and at least you know you would enjoy it because you would be doing something you really like. Hope you find what works for you.
