Kelly Clarkson's a country star? I thought she's a pop singer. Didn't she win in the American Idol?

I haven't followed country music in many years.  I like the oldies.

Brad Paisley.  I don't know why.  I think it's because I'e always enjoyed country music.  My Father listened to blue grass and my Mother listened to music in a language I couldn't understand. My ex-husband would turn the station if I were listening to country, he'd make disrespectful and rude comments in regard to the genre.  One day out to the blue he says we've got tickets to go see Brad Paisley - I about fell over.  From then on he listened to country... so Brad Paisley had become my favorite from then on.

I used to listen to country a long time ago.

I remember some great songs, but cannot remember who sang them.

However, John Denver and Country Roads was a fave. My precious grandma was a real "hillbilly" from Blue Ridge Mts, in West Virginia.

my favorite is an up and coming country music star Lance Carpenter. he helped write Love me like you mean it for Kelisie ballerini. I  went to youth group with him back in 1999. hard to believe I've known him this long. hes the prime example of  How do you like me now? when those in youth told my friend he is in a dream world. if he thought he would ever get to nashville and be a country singer. he got his first record deal in 2013. was even on cmt.

as far as a veteran country star (it has nothing to do with him when he was opening for a concert ) for sawyer brown telling me I was a very pretty girl.  Toby Keith.

Sorry I don't have any favorite music artist because, me, it is the song. If I like the one hit wonder song, I will like the person/artist. This way of thinking I had since I was young, nobody has cause a change. I really tried to pick a fav. I like my comcast tv provider's music channel the best my tv's music channel is 934 is the country music oldies but goodies. I like the new stuff too.

I liked Brooks and Dunn before they broke up. And I also like Shania Twain. There is nobody today that I would rank up with them.
