Sorry to hear that....look to see if anyone of your friends make any big purchases in the next few days....maybe try to ask around someone you trust within that group, and if you don't invite them over again, just don't have the $ lying around...

Sorry to hear that someone would visit your house and then take your money! It is best if you keep cash in the hose to put in some type of safe or just put that kind of amount in a bank!

I'm sorry that happened to you but I would never have that much cash in my house. Most banks don't charge fees for savings account and you should be able to get interest on it. Even if you don't want to deposit it a safe deposit box at the bank would be a better secure option than leaving large sums of cash around your house

Most banks do have a limit on how many times you can with draw money on a savings account and after that they charge at least $2 per with drawal. A lot of people do not know that or even realize they are being charged.

CALL THE POLICE, if you suspect that someone you know has taken that amount from your home, call them, that is why they are there, to help with making people be accountable for taking what  doesn't belong to them, I would have been called them, time I found about it. Locked the doors and don't have no one leave, especially until the police get there.

Why would you frequently withdraw money from a savings account? That defeats the purpose of saving it.

I'm going to leave a camera rolling in my room the next time these same set of people come over (it's only one) and see if anyone comes in looking around.  That won't be until November, but I'm hoping this works.

I have had more stolen from me than some people ever own.  A show car, all my collectibles from being young, money etc I am so sorry this happened to you because I certainly know how you feel.  What you can do I do not know.  I doubt the person would own up to it if you asked everyone it could have been.  That is a lot of money and so sad that people have no ethics.

I am sorry that happened to you. I know what it feels like to have money stolen. I have a few places in my bedroom now that even if they came in, they would not find it. I have some pretty unique stuff to hide valuables in

You have to have PROOF.  You can't just call the police and say so and so was in my house and now I am missing $1000 cash.  You have NO proof YOU actually had the money and no proof the friend or family member stole it.

You really don't believe in calling the police for any reason, do you?

I am sorry to learn about your misfortune. I would hate to jump to conclusions myself, especially when it puts people that I know so intimately in a negative light. Unsure what steps you can take to recapture your missing (who am I kidding, STOLEN) money. However, I would be more careful and less trusting of those whom I once believed to be trustworthy individuals.
