Missing my family doctor!
« on: August 08, 2017, 02:25:25 pm »
How I miss our family doctor!  He was such a good doctor and very rarely had to send any of us to a specialist.  He knew so much, was dedicated to his profession and didn't rush us when any of us went to see him with a problem.  I guess those kind of doctors are mostly a thing of the past.  The place I go now is susposed to be like that but I never know who I'm going to see and hardly see the same person twice in a row.  Therefore, no one really knows me, knows my history and seem to care less.  I asked around and can't seem to find a good old doctor like my doctor I had for over 40 years.  Seems like most of the people I know are having the same problem.

It seems every time we find a doctor for us or the kids they end up leaving we are very picky about the doctors we see.

I went to an OBGYN that you always seen someone different. Oh how I hated that but it was the only place that I could get in because my first ob left state. We have had a lot of doctors leave Michigan. guess its better else where.

Good luck.

Ohio is not much better. Doctors here pay outrageous malpractice rates. Almost every doctor is affiliated with a hospital because of this.

It's so hard to find a good doctor especially one that you really like. I had a great doctor but the office where he works quit taking my insurance so I had to find a new doctor and that's hard especially when you have illnesses and your doctor knows you better than anyone and you have to up and switch
