Today's technology
« on: September 09, 2017, 05:28:28 am »
Everyone is just spoiled by today's technology. I could not find my remote for my television this morning and had a thought that I could not work my television without it and just walking to the television to navigate it was just so much trouble without that darn remote. Technology has made our lives easier. People may call us lazy, but we are just being more efficient

I just bought a new TV and frankly, I don't know how to turn it on without the remote.  Sad.

Try reading the book that came with it.

For me, this technology I go to my phone store to get it deboobed for me at times. When I loose my remote for the tv, the tv's buttons are at the back dark corner and they are tiny and you must remember which one is the power button  and the cable box is separate to turn on but I am able to do it manually   ::) I study my computer.

I can't imagine going back, now that I have had time to enjoy my 42 inch 4K resolution smart TV with a Soundbar to enhance the audio.

I think it's okay to be a little dependent on technology, but you should still be able to do something yourself.

I have never done this, but I have seen people use their phone as a remote control.  But I agree with you.  Technology has gotten crazy and just imagine how it will be in 10-20 years.

If you really feel that way, I have a slide rule I have had for many years I would send you for shipping cost.
