I do feel for them but I wouldn't donate money.  Mexican offiicials are so corrupt who do you think is going to get it?  It is sad but to be honest the Red Cross and all those supposed charities are no better so I don't know how you are supposed to help people other than to pray for them.

We  do  with what our Church and other Churches are asking for.  Also our local charities.  A truck comes buy from  the  headquarters of our church and picks up every thing that is donated and it goes  right to those who are in need. There are so many that need help right now it is hard.  People don't have the money to donate  to all of them. Crying shame so many of those who do have it won't  turn loose of any of it unless it benefits them somehow.

You donate to an organization like the Red Cross.  You can only trust the money goes to help them.  Have heard the Red Cross is corrupt but you hear every one is.  If you want to donate money then do so.  If you don't then don't do it.  I would not donate to any random yahoo sitting in Walmart parking lot with a truck and a sign that says "Mexico or Bust". haha

You have no idea that it does to those who need.  You don't just drive across the boarder in a big truck and start handing random stuff out to people in Mexico.  Or any where else.

Some how thing there is an underlying jab in your last statement.  A lot of people who have money and who do not donate and just because YOU personally don't know what they done does not mean they did not do it.

There are so many corrupt people that lie about being in need that any more most people have got until they don't give to anything.

Good example: the Angel Tree that you see in Walmart.  If you are running around with the latest iPhone your child's name does not need to be on the Angel Tree.  And I know first hand that people put their kid on the tree and then what ever gifts the child receives the worthless parent takes it back to Walmart for a refund.

I would recommend donating to Samaritan's Purse to help the earthquake and hurricane victims. They do wonderful work - they were certainly terrific in the area I live in after Storm Sandy hit years ago.

I feel bad for those people having to live on literally a volcano, land that grinds almost seasonally. Also what was the deal with a 12 year old student in the rubble that didn't exist?
