I have no problem with it.  I have had girlfriends but I enjoy the freedom for now.  It's funny because people will look at me like I'm weird or like "what's wrong with him?"  that I don't have a girlfriend or someone to go to a wedding with right now. etc

Hello! :D :)

I think it is fine to be single as long as you are fine with that and not trying to hide from your fears of some sort. I myself seems to never be single for long, I just jump from one relationship to the next. Which is not good as well as I don't give myself time to heal. This time around will be different I promise myself no more guys it's time to be in a relationship with myself and get to know myself better. :rose:

After being married for several, then single for 20 years, I was happy with my life. Then did what I said I would never do and got married again and have been almost 25 years.  Still have not got him trained although  I keep trying. Just kidding, he is a pretty good old boy. But he had been single for a long time two so we are both  used to doing what we want and have had to learn to combine our lives.

For some people it is a lifestyle... for others it feels like being really lonely... I believe it depends on your own character.

Sure is that in order to live good with someone else, you need to be able to live good by yourself. So taking advantage of the time you are alone could actually serve as a sort of introspection, where you get to analyze yourself...
or just: enjoy your time where you can do what you want, when you want... without having to depend on anyone else! :)

I'm not devastated to be single but it would be nice to be married if I find the right person. People my age seem to avoid commitment like the plague so idk.

I didn't get married until I was 39 years old, so I had a lot of single living.   It was fun, but I always wanted a boy of my own.  Now I have one. I'm happy with marriage, but I was happy single too.

Never had a problem with it when I was younger. Sometimes I yearn for it again but hey life goes on.

I've been single since my husband died in 2009! It's been lonely, but now I'm pretty much over the shock of his death & quite content in living alone! Don't think anyone will enter my life anytime soon no one ever seem to measure up & don't want to spend years trying to train or upgrade a new partner. I've literally became that middle age widow/cat lady! It's OK.

Different strokes for different folks!  That's what makes the world go round!  What's right for one person may not be right for another.  I can't even imagine being single since I've been a couple for 50+ years. I am sure there are pros and cons for both sides. But there's nothing wrong with choosing either way, imo!

Nothing wrong being single. Nowadays, it can be just as scary being with someone than being with nobody. I feel if I deal with myself living alone successfully, than I won't be such a clinging vine lol because I can love and love and love my love. My son was alone, did everything he felt was wright way of living, OK, agreed with other blogger, his voice was/seemed a sad tone.  I told him about dating site like eharmony, and if you checked out a lot and still no, I told him is you standards too high...even though need to take care.....we are only human. Well now that he found one, he seems happier complete. Me, I want to try this thing called alone really now, lonely is not the same as being single.   EVERYONE needs to learn to be asexual and then single :cat:
