cell phone as main phone

For now we have both a lnad line and our cell phones.  We are seriously considering dropping the landline, but have towait for the contract to end.

About the only people who call us on the land line are marketers

I have been using my cell phone as my home phone for about 4 years now. It was tough in the beginning because of going over minutes and such, but we recently were able to get unlimited minutes, which is really exciting.

i did that too. its nice to have your main phone with you all the time, but you have more people calling it. also, you have to charge it, and they are very inconvinent if you have a living space in your basement, like i do.

I have been using my cell as my only phone since college.... about 8 years...

i havent done that

i switched to a cable company where i get my phone, internet, and cable (after months of not having it)

in one bill

and cheaper than my old internet and phone company

tho i did use my cell for my main phone

for a lil bit

its really handy

bcuz i mean my cell was on me all the time

and if someone needed me i would b there to pick up

tho bad thing is if my phone was to break or something bad (tho never did cuz i was careful lol)

then i wouold course have to get a new phone

but yea i do at times

I have both LAN and mobile lines. The LAN is for the telemarkers that send their regards and the mobile is for the safety and convience of daily life.

I think that it would save money to have just the mobile, but we need it for the internet and security of emergency calls from home. I'm just thankful that the rates are affordable enough for me to keep both going (for now). Isn't outragous that an avergage family spends $200 a month for communications??? No wonder savings is not seeing the fair share of our paychecks hehe.

Before moving out here to VA that is what I did.  I treated it like I would a land line, I had caller id, call waiting, voicemail, etc.  The only difference is that I took it everywhere with me.  My husband and I are thinking of doing that now.

cell phones are great. you can use them ANYWHERE.
why do you need a house phone?

only have cell phone ----had land line disconnected ---didnt see the need to have both phones and my cell bill is cheaper..

I think cell phones are better, but landlines are important if you want to use it as a 'business' line.

I wouldn't have a house phone but I use my fax machine one a week to fax in my paper work and because my fiance can never keep his cell phone on. If it wasn't for my job I wouldn't have it to tell you the truth.
