Walmart Ibuprofen works well for me.  Walmart Severe Sinus Headache works on my sinus headaches.

I am not really sure, but if over the counter Med is the same as the prescription med, than take them.

I take Store brand Naproxen for joint and menstrual pain.  Since I get a discount on store brand I try and buy it for everything.  I do have Ibuprofen and Tylonal (again store brand) available for headaches and fevers.  My husband is anti store brand.  I have a sister who went through 2 1/2 - 3 years of pharmacy school before dropping out and she said it's the same medicine and doses... I don't buy name brand jeans, don't buy name  brand drugs.

We avoid any meds if possible but sometimes we have to use something, for me it's Aleve.   Now on the rare occasions when I get a cold, it's Nyquil all the way.

Ibuprofen works for so many things, I'd have to vote for it as the best.

The store brands are the same thing. Go with whichever is cheaper (which may be the name brand after coupons/discounts) ...

I use store brand -- Walmart -- generic motrin/advil/ibuprofen for decades, I've found it gives me pain relief same as the name brand & so much cheaper.

But Advil and ibuprofen aren’t quite the same. Advil is candy-coated ibuprofen. There is no such thing as natural candy-coating.

I only use these in extreme pain.  I use generic, Walmart or Walgreens ibuprofin. (sp?)

Mostly, I get allergic reactions from them, so often just go to a htg pad. Solves a lot of pain problems, without money. Can use in bed, and helps you go to sleep.

I have learned to be more pain tolerant, or use a rub....for arthritis .

Pain meds, otc or rx all have their side affects, and I don't wan'em.  I tend to get some reaction to them.

Normally, when I need OTC medication, it's when I've been doing more physical things than I usually do and I not only want relief from aches and pains but I also want to sleep.  See, I have arthritis in about all my joints and also don't sleep very well.  So what I take is Motrin PM usually.  It relieves the aches, knocks me out, and I usually wake up without feeling like somebody beat me up!

We've used the Costco Kirkland brand of ibuprophen for years and years. It's about the same as Walmart's Equate, but we're just used to getting the big bottles at Costco. We haven't bought a name brand (Advil and Motrin) for a very, very long time. If there's any way to pinch a penny, I'm in there pinching away, LOL!

I tend to use Excedrin. It is VERY effective against migraines.
