Big move. However, I don't think this move will ultimately pay off for the Raiders

As a frustrated Bears fan i always wanted him as a coach.

Kinda hard to resist all that $$$$ and the chance to resurrect the once proud Raider team.

I feel bad for Jack Del Rio, but Gruden is one of the great coaches. They'd be fools not to pursue him.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

He's okay as a coach I suppose. I always hated him as an announcer, so I am happy he will no longer be doing MNF.

Don't know who this person is, so my input isn't relevant.

Was a bit surprised at the salary...honestly don't think he's going to make a lot of difference for them

He's been there before.  He's going to have to fix the locker room stuff 1st.

Good for him. Although the Raiders are not my team, I hope they do well under him. Was a little surprised at the starting salary though.

He is amazing at branding himself.  All people want to talk about is Gruden.  For the record I don't think the Raiders will be all that great.

What happens to all that money if he is a bust? I think they had to do it because Oakland is moving to Las Vegas in a couple of years.

There should be plenty of money to pay him once this happens.

Happens all the time.

Look how much the NY Knicks wasted on Phil Jackson.
