I didn't remember that until you mentioned it .. I have a vague recollection of it as I was only 9 or 10.

WOW!  You mean something other than cheap plastic and now some sort of pressed cardboard for prizes in cereal boxes was a thing.  That's cool.  It would be awesome if they music in there for kids these days.... MP3 codes... or codes to earn a FREE player of sorts.  I remember having soap with bubble gum machine sized plastic domes in them.  There were tiny little figures inside.  Soaps were shaped like whales...a lion...can't remember the other shapes.  It was awful for my skin though.  Itched and itched for days to get to those stupid little figures.

does anyone remember getting records 45's on cereal boxes. I sure do in 68-69 I was 13 or so and got Jackson 5 the archies and donny Osmond yeah Donny Osmond. The cereal was alpha bits I think. Seen at the store and begged my mom to buy it .

I don't have any clear memories of the records as prizes in or on Cereal boxes.

However, I do remember that when we did get a cereal box that had a prize inside, Mom wanted us kids to wait until the cereal was gone before claiming the prize. 

We sometimes didn't follow her wishes.....we dumped the whole box of cereal out into big bowls and got the prize first off, then put the cereal back in the box.

I sort of remember them.  I remember too that you could save box tops and get toy.

I  don't remember the 45s on the cereal boxes but I remember buying 45s and getting the prizes inside the cereal boxes.  Of course I never liked the  cereal but I liked the prize inside.

Nope wasn't around for that.  I remember getting little toys and stickers.

I remember those too!  I can't remember the names of any I got but I sure remember being amazed they could put them on a cereal box.  I have quite an album collection and did have a bunch of 45's until last year when I got rid of them.  Now they seem to be making a comeback and I wish I had kept them.  One of our grandkids got a record player for Christmas!  He'd love to have my old 45's but I've already told his mother she could have my albums.  Hopefully she'll pass them on to him.

I do vaguely remember that.  We had a Jackson 5 45 that I know we would not have bought.  Had to come from one of the cereal boxes.

Wow! What a nostalgic memory! I wasn't born yet but I do remember something like that in the late 70's I think...lol

Do they still make that?  I don't have the teeth for pop corn any more, but was fun, and prizes in Shredded Wheat....they were cool

Yep I am getting old, my boys would always want the cereal with the records on them. Those were the days. Of course living 90 miles from a big grocery store I always bought one for each of the boys. In fact they are still in storage. I think I will give them too their  step brother and sister. One more thing  taken care .

I do remember records being on the cereal boxes.  They were cardboard and didn't have very good sound quality, but as kids we didn't care.
