I had just graduated from college, taken on a lucrative banking position and quit my night time job as a waiter (which was one of three jobs used to pay for college. The restaurant shut down two months for remodeling and out of the clear blue called me up to work a Thursday night shift to which Quickly and politely declined. They obviously didn't hear me as they droned on about this being a night of free food to all of the chefs that were invited to the restaurant which meant there would not be any tips. I was about to say no, again, when they said that I could have unlimited drinks after the first two hours were over. I was there in a flash, my wife to be was the sister of one of the chefs and we hit it off famously. Although I knew she would be a pain when it took her three hours to finish her dessert.

I met my husband online 18 years ago and have been with him since..lol. He stalked me back then and used different alias user names so that I wouldn't know it was him but I was smarter than that. lol... or am I? I stayed with a stalker! ewww... Even though we're not married, he came to my house to do weatherization, and we have been together for over 7 years now.

I met my wife at church.  We were both serving together on a retreat team attending weekly meetings for several months in preparation for the weekend. We did a lot of faith sharing and got to know each other from that perspective. I was on a low carb diet at the time and my future wife was in charge of bringing the desserts every other week.  I found out later that she was secretly watching me to see if I ate/liked any of them. She was disappointed when I was one of the only ones who didn't eat them!


After the retreat was over, she reached out to me and we went on a date to see the movie 50 First Dates. We were engaged about seven months later and married a year after that.
