Michigan College School Shooting

A 19 year old young man seems to have shot both his parents at Central Michigan University here in Michigan.  The police are saying it is a "domestic incident."  Evidently, the police had to be called the night before because the kid was "acting out" due to what appears to be a drug overdose. It is now 6pm and evidently this happened much earlier this morning.

It goes on and on.  Now a young man has shot his parents on a campus.  It looks like the father was a policeman in Illinois.  I haven't heard any further information.  What is wrong in America?  Shootings over and over!

When I see stuff like this I am very worried about our future. It worries me how bad things will be when my children go off to college

Well it's refreshing that he's Black and killed his own parents and no innocent bystanders/students/teachers died.Curious about how he made it to college,the gun and what triggered him to kill them ?   I hope the police are careful(don't want them hurt or killed)   Sniper him if he does not surrender.

Internet says 50-80 million died in WWII.....its refreshing to know it wasnt higher then that.....

It's very sad that we live in times where this is not unusual but becoming more and and more the norm, this shooting here that shooting there. I know this is a very divisive topic, but clearly, something does need to change in this country.

You are so right Lenora,unless we,a loved one or friend is involved a few weeks go by and as u say "becomes the norm"It really isnt hard to see man CANT solve the problem!The proof is in the pudding.So buckle up!!

I just heard of it from an alert on my mom's phone. I haven't really searched yet to read anything about it. Unfortunately at this point it's not that uncommon.

I have to agree, it’s becoming the normal, kids killing classmates, parents, teachers.  People killing each other over silly, stupid things.  It’s like the old Wild West, don’t like something or someone I’ll just shoot them.  What has happened to this country?  It’s a shame we now live in the society we do.

I'm confused why people are asking 'what's wrong?'.  You referenced it yourself, 'drug overdose'.  Doesn't have to be an overdose though and it certainly doesn't have to be illegal drugs.  Keep on forcing depression and other medication down the throats of our kids and watch these shootings happen more and more frequently.

He is not a kid.  He is 19.  He is an adult.  I had not heard about this at all.
What is wrong with America?  Goes back to how you were raised as a kid.  You cannot raise a kid giving them everything they want, being their best friend, never saying no, and teaching them the world revolves solely around them and no one can ever tell them no or disagree with them.  Cause when they grow up and hit the real world they don't know how to handle it.

I heard about this shooting and was like really.  I mean what child would shoot there parents coming up school see them.  I can only imagine there is a bigger story behind this shooting.  Must be some kind of foul play and to top things they say its the father policeman gun.
