100 % Disabled Marine here.  So, retirement at 47 :)  But got PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder.  But, enjoying the retired life.  Now get this you guys, the Federal Government disables me but the State of California says under their conditions I can work.  It's why I have an SSI lawyer just waiting for trial.

What's with the "Semi" part, I jerked the plug when I was 62 and never looked back. Now August 3 I celebrate 80 with a big party.

I don't know about why he is "semi" retired but, I know we will probably never be able to not work at something and actually retire.  Death will be our retirement.  Takes a certain amount of money to live on this earth.
