It's just heartbreaking she can't battle her demons and doesn't seem to get the help she needs.  Everyone who 'claims' they are friends are always in shock when something like this happens or 'claim' they saw it coming but did nothing.  I personally think out of all of them, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber etc., she's the best.  Her delivery on songs is not only powerfully sung but powerfully emotional the way songs should be.  I just wish there was someone who could guide her from this darkness she can't see to get out from.

I really don't know much about this gal.  In fact I used to get her and Selena Gomez mixed up.  I don't follow much of pop culture.  There is enough tragedy close to home, work and community to get shook up about.  It is sad that this young girl has OD'd.  Clearly there is a problem for her to be turning to heroin to begin with.  Some role model for youth!  Everyone has problems, everyone needs to learn how to deal with them.  Pray she's able to kick the habit... get the physical, mental and most importantly spiritual help she needs.

She hasn't had any songs I like, tbh. Maybe I'm getting too old for today's pop stars -- I still listen to J Lo and Beyoncé, while I think Demi and Selena Gomez have boring songs (Ke$ha is really good though!!). Still, I really hope this is a wake up call that she needs to get her act together. I know she's strongly anti-bullying, which is something I feel strongly about as well, so she clearly has some good qualities to her character. I wouldn't call drug use a character flaw, but it's stupid (and yes, I can say that because I've used before -- never again!!!!). Regardless, wishing her the best.

It's sad how bad the drug epidemic is.

I read about it the other day. I hope she can get the help that she needs because she really has a serious problem that can take her life if she does not get help.

It's hard to imagine.  Gotta feel for her and her poor parents.  I have a brother who has thrown his life away to meth, rebuilt it, and threw it away again.

Obviously, despite success, money and fame, people still have demons that they can't control when they turn to drugs, alcohol, and ultimately suicide.  I liked Anthony Bourdain and still wonder what was the underlying cause for him to turn to death as his answer.  Hopefully, Demi will get the help she needs to remain sober and pursue whatever it is she wants and needs in her life. Taking drugs is a symptom of a much deeper underlying problem.

Very sad. Addiction is quite scary. :( I really hope she can recover from this.

I really love and respect Demi. She's so talented and I love how open she is about her struggles and everything she does to help others who are struggling. I feel so bad that she relapsed and hope she will be okay!

So sad, hope she gets the help she needs, so many people that have fame  have a lot of enablers around them who are not willing to call out the bad behavior, they stay quiet to stay in the good graces of the person.

It's horrible when celebrities lives become so stressful that they fall back on something that will hurt them.  Prayers going out to Demi.  She needs a good therapist if she plans to stay in her business.
