Referral having problems signing up

I got an email from a referral who said she tried to sign up but a page she was on said "get the code" and when she clicks on the button nothing happens.  I have no idea what she is talking about.  Anyone else know?  I don't remember anything like that.  I just thought you registered and then confirmed.  Can someone tell me what she means so I can help her?  Thanks!
