Shopping online

If you buy some clothing online and you receive it, but  it does not fit, do you keep it or send it back?

I email the company to let them know and then send it back to them.

I do not buy clothes online because i'd rather be able to touch them and try them on.

I hardly ever return any thing.  I should but it just seems to be to much of a hassle.  That is the biggest reason I don't purchase clothing on line.

I have quit buying clothes online. I did have issues returning an item which seemed to be mis-labeled and did not fit me. I have not bought any clothes online since then.

I usually do not purchase clothes or shoes online because you need to try them on.  If it did not fit I guess I would send it back.

I don't think I've ever had to return any clothing thankfully. But if it's too big, I would just try to deal with it and make it work. If it's too small, I might return it. I think it also depends how much I paid for it.

This is what they are hoping for.

I don't buy it unless there is a reasonable return policy.  Then I would return and try to reorder something that did fit.

I have quit buying clothes online. I did have issues returning an item which seemed to be mis-labeled and did not fit me. I have not bought any clothes online since then.

I bought a pair of tennis shoes in the exact style and name brand that I knew for sure what size I wore.  When I got them they were about 2 inches too long for my foot.  There was a size on the box but no size on the tennis shoes.  I called the company and did return those at no cost to me.  Since then the only thing I will order is a tee shirt or something that there is pretty much a good chance even if it is not perfect you can still wear it.  Shoes and jeans and stuff like that you kind of need to be able to have them fit.

I wish they would all go to a standard size system where you could order and know what you wear.  Pants sizes need to be you waist size.  Then you would know for sure what size you needed.

I purchased a sweater from Nordstrom, on sale & paid the shipping postage. When I got the sweater is was thin & cheap feeling, so I took it back to Nordstrom & was out the postage costs.   This has happened one too many times buying clothing & shoes on-line, so I avoid it now.

I have kept items that were too tight though, thinking I'll be back in fit shape shortly... mostly in athletic apparel. Like CountryGirl I wish the clothing manufacturers would stick to standard sizing & fit to size.

If I order clothes online I only purchase from a site where they also have a store in the area so I can take it back.  Never use sites that I would have to pay to ship it back.

Most of my online purchases are from Amazon and they have a center just a few miles from me, so I just drop it off for a free no problems refund. I even made a dumb mistake and bought the wrong toner for my printer, but they refunded me anyway with no questions asked.
