My worst weather experience was in Milwaukee Wisconsin about thirty years ago with the thermometer set at twenty six degrees below zero and wind chills at around forty degrees below zero. Entire grids were monitored by the police to keep people off of the streets and in their homes. One positive that came from this weather was that the crime rate for that week dropped dramatically. I have friends that are currently out there and their companies have given them paid time off, The problem, for my friends, is that most of the bars and taverns are also closed due to the cold! Between the frigid winters, horribly humid summers and awful crime rates it was an easy decision to move to Colorado to raise my family. Gotta love three hundred and twenty three days of sunshine!

We've been having crazy lows then highs again in northern NJ too. It's amazing how little snow we've gotten so far, though. I wonder if that lack of moisture is going to affect trees much this spring.

I'm not a fan of cold weather and really ready for some heat already but I have no control of that.  I stay in as much as possible.
