How ignorant was General MacArthur
« on: February 05, 2019, 11:56:43 pm »
Here are the last lines of the speech Gen.Mac made on the ship Missouri in 1945 when Japanese surrendered in WWII

Let us pray that peace now be restored to the world, and that god will preserve it always.

The Korean War shortly followed and there have been many conflicts down to our day.

I guess his god didnt answer his plea.

Getting back to Japs surrendering.....kinda corny.2 Atom bombs wipe out 2 cities and many other cities are bombed including Tokyo. And a few signatures end it?LOL!!!!

This show was on TV tonight showing all the battles of the war.I wonder if we had lost the war if the program would have still aired in our country?Reminds me of the YES channel showing past Yankee games. They never show any they lost <and thats coming from a Yankee fan>

As i modify this a few days later i question if i should even put a topic up Re MacArthur. Many probably arent even familiar with him even tho he is a VERY popular person in worst war ever.

I think i react as i watch it and realize just how full of himself he was and then to think he has god on his side after millions are killed cos of who is to gain world domination.

Satan is described as the god of this system right now so in a way he did have a god on his side.Just NOT the TRUE God who must have looked down during the war and regretted he even created us.

I do not think Macarthur was ignorant and I don't think it inappropriate for him to ask God to help us.  :notworthy:

I can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like for him to lead his men into battle and to experience all the losses. But someone had to do something to protect our country. How else could we remain free?  :peace:

From someone who thinks they are going to heaven to be with Jesus i remind you what he said after Peter drew his sword on the night of his arrest......

48  Now his betrayer had given them a sign, saying: “Whoever it is I kiss, this is he; take him into custody.”+ 49  And going straight up to Jesus he said: “Good day, Rabbi!”+ and kissed+ him very tenderly. 50  But Jesus+ said to him: “Fellow, for what purpose are you present?” Then they came forward and laid hands on Jesus and took him into custody.+ 51  But, look! one of those with Jesus reached out his hand and drew his sword and struck the slave of the high priest and took off his ear.+ 52  Then Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place,+ for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword.+ 53  Or do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father to supply me at this moment more than twelve legions of angels

FREEDOM???Just exactly what does that mean?Satan told Eve she would be better off being independent of God deciding for herself what was good and bad.How did that work out? They brought sin and death to the human race and i dont think you have to look too far for the other condtitions that Satanic/manmade rule have brought. And nationalism blinds many that think Trump etc will fix it!!!LOL!!!Gimme a break!!!

Reminds me of when Pilate asked Jesus what is truth?Jesus never answered him cos he knew Pilate didnt really care.

If you think Jesus supported what MacArthur did and that the God of the bible <Jehovah>just cares about the USA i think you better think twice about going to heaven.

Acts 10:34-35 34  At this Peter began to speak, and he said: “Now I truly understand that God is not partial,a 35  but in every nation the man who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.b

Jesus tried to teach his apostles a lesson that they could carry their swords against a mob that were armed and NOT use them.Peter failed....thats why Jesus scolded him.He didnt praise him.

ALL wars are NOT a result of what Gods kingdom would be about......they are lessons to show with Satan and man governing themselves the results of what history has shown. They cant do it successfully apart from Gods laws, rules and disobedience towards him.

Nationalism as well as false religeon are big tools of the devil. We have 2 choices and 1 only leads to life in a peaceful world.

How could anyone in their right mind think a God of love would allow this nonsense to prevail forever in this world when HE didnt create it to begin with?

Psalms 144: 1 Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. 2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

As a US Army veteran I am thankful to God that He stood by us in times of conflict against those who would have taken away our freedom to practice our faith.

I dont doubt that Jehovah will fight for his people who want to love, serve and obey HIM.That was demonstrated when he buried Pharoah and his army only as 1 example in the Red Sea.

Friendship with this world is enmity with God cos Satan has been allowed to rule. Please dont make it sound like God supports the american way.The bible speaks of 7 world powers that eventually went down. Many support the United Nations NOT Gods kingdom as the hope for a lasting peace.

Let your kingdom come ON Earth as is in heaven is just lip service to many.

The apostle Peter said when mans laws compromised Gods,we must obey God as ruler rather then men.

Point being God will fight for his people, but if they support United Nations over his kingdom you are serving Satan.

My kingdom is NO part of this world Jesus made all too clear and he told Satan to take a hike when Satan offered him all the kingdoms of this world for an act of worship.

MacArthur was a paranoid man who saw "Commies" everywhere.  Even among the veterans who had served under him.  That's why he disobeyed a presidents orders and attacked the Bonus Army protesters.

I finally saw the movie and at the same time I was reading a book about the the war with Japan. MacArthur lived among the Filipino people for years. He had a pretty fancy apartment there and when the Japanese bombed his city, he wasn't happy to have lost his home. He was forced to leave but promised to be back. He was somewhat of an egotistical man, thinking he knew best how to end the war and when it would end. He believed the Japanese were ready to surrender and end the war before the first atomic bomb hit Hiroshima. His wife and son was  living him most of the war.He also ran for president one time but lost to Eisenhower. He was insulted and thought it should have been him. He often "bucked" the brass and did exactly what he wanted and was almost court martialed.

I don't know why anyone would malign this man. No one is perfect. Why do people suppose that any of our leaders should be perfect. They are human beings and they behave like human beings; some being much better than others.

Occupation and Reconstruction of Japan, 1945–52
After the defeat of Japan in World War II, the United States led the Allies in the occupation and rehabilitation of the Japanese state. Between 1945 and 1952, the U.S. occupying forces, led by General Douglas A. MacArthur, enacted widespread military, political, economic, and social reforms. Cited from: https://history.state.gov/milestones/1945-1952/japan-reconstruction

He sounds like a pretty good guy to me. Definitely not perfect, as no one is, but quite an achiever in my book.
