Are you absolutely positive that you have never had a prayer answered? Do you have healthy children? Have you been able to make some extra money doing surveys?
Do you have enough to eat? I could go on but hopefully it makes sense so far. Praying is a way of life, whether we realize it or not.
Many of us practice it consciously, others do not even know that they are doing it. But it's the same thing. I think it's just a matter of paying attention.

Most people do not sit down in front of the computer and pray to God that they can make money doing surveys. But I do see what you are saying.

At the same time I know people who are total atheist and they have plenty to eat, they have plenty of money, they have healthy children and on and on.  Praying is a way of life for the Christian.

An answer to your prayers. God is so good and works wonders in our lives. I love it when prayers are answered for such simple things in our lives. It really makes you think and count your blessings I believe. I would say Coincidence if it was one object but having both there I have to believe God heard you and granted your wishes. Thank You Jesus

Again, I am new to the Forum so I am not sure where I am in the conversation but we should not only pray when we are in need. Praying includes giving thanks, praying for others, praying for the world in general, praying for the beauty we are blessed to see every single day. It is called practicing your faith and it works. I have experienced it more times than I can count. What we want is not always best. God, by whatever name, will take care of it. We have free will but God knows best. (I do NOT attend church nor do I follow any religion.)

God by whatever name?

First off the bible says Jehovah is most high over the earth.KJV Psalms 83:18

The bible also says there are many gods.Satan is even referred to being a god.Did it ever occur to you Jehovah would like credit for being the TRUE God?He is quite jealous when some might differentiate and i doubt very much that DONT use his name and say the prayer thru Jesus the prayer will NOT be answered.Actually the bible says HE will detest the prayer.

How would you like it if someone said when addressing you "whatever your name is"?

Paints if you dont support the bible why do u quote part of it?“Pray incessantly. In connection with everything give thanks.”—1 Thessalonians 5:17, 18.

Or do i take it to mean you will decide for yourself what is good and bad as Satan told  Eve she would be better off doing?

Or do u just feel the bible is a book of fiction thats only been around 1000s of yrs as well as translated into many languages and shows its divinity by saying what will happen in the future?Even tho mankind and Satan have gone out of their way to get rid of it?With NOOOOOO results from their perspective.

"Choose you this day who you will serve."  Sounds like we have to decide for ourselves...

Man is wonderfully made.Freedom of choice we have. But we still have to use it right in order to have life.

Paints i am sure you have heard of Gods undeserved kindness.Do you know what that means? It means A&E DOOMED the human race by disobeying. If God had destroyed them right there mankind wouldnt exist. But Satan brought up an issue that had to be resolved.Would man be better off governing himself apart from God or not?Mans history has answered that question plus Jesus balanced the scales of justice ransoming his sinless life for a sinful one brought on by A&E.

Yes i know you said you dont support bible. But i do and my answers are based on it.Others read this too.Yours are based on just what you think as Satan claimed we would be better off doing.Again all you have to do is look at history and Know God had good intentions for his creation by governing us.He even went a step furthur and proved that love as he watched his dying son in agony die a brutal and undeserved death.

Hope u enjoy baking your bread at least.

Hitch, I never said I didn't support the bible.  You said that.  I will agree that I don't swallow it whole, and I don't use it as a weapon.

You pound us with scripture to support your point of view.  Do you think we learn from that?

Hebrews 4:12 New International Version (NIV)
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Those that want to view the word of God as a sword <weapon>are those NOT with the RIGHT heart condition towards God.

Jesus didn't have the bible.

The bible is a crutch.  We use it to keep from seeking God, as if he can be contained within its' pages.  We use it to build churches in his name, while our brothers live on the street, in want. We use it to justify the subjugation of women, and the making of war.  We use it to justify locking children in cages because we are not willing to share what we have. It was used to justify slavery, and genocide, because 'we' are Gods' people.
That's weaponized.

God is alive, and accessible to any who seek him.  The Kingdom of God is not an exclusive kingdom.  The gates are open to any who will come.

What ingredients have u been using baking that bread?

Pardon my humor.Let me quickly just address a few things u just said.

Jesus always referred to the bible. He said on many occasions how the scriptures needed to be fulfilled. In an example he referred to Noahs day and the flood.I dont feel like writing a book now.

Also re slavery...man created it...God regulated it in a just way.You sound like ur blaming God for bringing sin into the world. This is where u puzzle me.You say u support bible and the few things i just mention you dont have a clue.

God tries no one with evil.

. Proverbs 19:3 realistically describes the situation: “It is the foolishness of an earthling man that distorts his way, and so his heart becomes enraged against Jehovah himself.”

That scripture is EZ to understand.A man loses his rent money in a casino and then blames God.I guess being described as foolish fits pretty well....eh?

Also...when Jesus said his kingdom was NO part of this world to Pilate he meant his government that his father enthroned him as king of it.NOT everyone will be allowed in.The road is narrow. Many prefer their ungodly ways and support the devil.

At the risk of interjecting myself in here, Jesus did in fact have the Bible. He referred to the Old Testament many times.

I would disagree that the Bible is a crutch. It's God's instruction book for life.

What I would call a crutch is man made religion, like hitch's religion of choice, the JWs.

Too often, mankind refers to man made rules and authorities to give them a sense of security. But Jesus was less than receptive to legalism. It's not the 'religion' that save us, but our relationship with God.

JJ u were doing well until you came to your 3rd line.

Why dont you explain to us all how the JWs is a man made religeon?Do yourself a favor and worry about your own nameless god.I honestly think ud make more sense if u were an atheist.Your Babylonish religeon as well as christendom support war and politics.Thats manmade.JWs adhere to the bible and DONT!!

Thru the yrs on here i have shown you reference from the bible what Gods name is,how Jesus is his begotten son,the trinity isnt biblically supported, man isnt an immortal soul, how the kingdom will be preached worldwide, what command Jesus said to obey on Passover......whew im getting tired.

For a change why dont YOU back up your beliefs like Xmas etc?You back-up nativity scenes when 2nd chaptor of Mark clearly shows Satan put the star in the sky and King Herod when on a murderous spree.I wouldnt be too proud to support many 2 yr olds being slaughtered.2nd chaptor of Math...scuse me.Oh but your bible doesnt portray that.Yours has The Little Drummer Boy playing for Jesus and getting smiled at.HAHA!!!

You are funny.JWs dont take part in political garbage and your Babylonish sect as well as the rest of christendom bows down to the UN when Jesus clearly says his kingdom is NO part of this world and Satan is your god.But yet u foolishly dispute that. There it is in BLACK and WHITE and u say JWs are man made...LOL

Why do bother to say rest in peace to those that die if they have an immortal soul?Makes no sense.Bible clearly explains what death is.And it ISNT life.DUST!!!

Math 22:31-32
31  Regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, who said: 32  ‘I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob’?a He is the God, not of the dead, but of the living.

Now here is your god

Jesus Christ said of him: “That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him.” (Joh 8:44; 1Jo 3:8) Jesus here shows that Satan was once in the truth, but forsook it. Beginning with his first overt act in turning Adam and Eve away from God, he was a manslayer, for he thereby brought about the death of Adam and Eve, which, in turn, brought sin and death to their offspring. (Ro 5:12) Throughout the Scriptures the qualities and actions attributed to him could be attributed only to a person, not to an abstract principle of evil. It is clear that the Jews, and Jesus and his disciples, knew that Satan existed as a person.

Do us all a favor. From the bible truths just displayed keep your Babylonish BS to yourself.

Do you also believe that animals are in heaven when the bible says flesh and blood dont exist there? So simple...Jesus is my Lord even tho he says those that endure to the end will be saved.

I have made your name known said Jesus Re God.I have made " I ams"name known......LOOOOOOLL!!!

Stick with your fantasy world JJ.Your make believe garbage doesnt mix with bible truths.

Just a reminder, the pledge and standing before the flag is manmade.JWs dont.Half million died in Vietnam.JWs remain neutral.Half a miilion soldiers had no idea why they died in Vietnam and many thousand were injured physically and mentally and u have the nerve to say JWs is a manmade religeon when your worship of your flag caused that grief!!If they listening to Jesus words they wouldnt have risked their lives for that nonsense. They died for a manmade cause of nonsense.Wake up!!

JWs manmade?LOL!

Worship of idols and people are manmade. You getting this?Do u need to consult a piece of wood to address my questions?

I saw on Facebook earlier to donate to "Our Lady of Guadalupe"Ya cant make this stuff up!!What part of bible was she in?At least Mary was Jesus mom and the only good thing about her is we all know what the "Hail Mary"is in the NFL...but  many dont know Jesus is the ONLY mediator to God.

Ya gotta admit,Satan has done 1 heckuva job blinding many. But he wont be happy cos he couldnt do it to everyone. Many even died for the truth.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.
I gotta admit, the world hanging on by a band-aid and God is concerned about bread pans?

That would be quite a mystery. But i guess it depends what god u r referring to.It very well could be 1 of ur nameless or false gods..

I saw on Facebook earlier if we donated to our Lady of Guadalupe we might find a miracle.Hmmmmmmm i wonder if she specializes in making donuts too?
