Yes, I was @ the ER - not for me, but fr a family member. My dad had only something was in his eye! He was weed whacking & did not have googles to protect him!

Several people in the ER had flu - coughing. I just hope I did not catch it!

They're actually giving you exactly what it's called  a flu shot, other words:a shot of the flu!
In all my years I never partook of the flu shot...thanks God, I never received it either..

It's always flu season.  It doesn't matter about the season.  You can get colds when it's hot or not.

You can but in the summer most people do not have a cold or get a cold.  I have before.  And it s***ks more in the summer.  I don't know why. lol

But most of the time as soon as it starts getting cold everybody starts getting sick and it gets passed around from person to person.  The last 2 winters I have had to work somewhere that there were snot rags in the office that made everybody else sick.  And yes they had sick time so they could have taken a day or two off and not made everybody else sick.

Your joke is humorous, Old Buddy. And I agree with you about the shots too. I am a senior and I wouldn't go without a flu shot every year if you paid me. Like you said, even if you get the flu, it will be a milder case than the case you get when you don't get the shot at all.

Yes, it still is and it is so hard when out in the public and people just cough and sneeze all over the place without even trying to cover and at least not spread their germs!

Not necessarily.  I know a girl who had the flu shot and she got the flu type A and B both and she was sick for a long time.

The oh it won't be as bad is just something they tell you to get you to let them inject you with something you do not need.

The people in my family who never take the shot - never get the flu.

The people who always take the shot - always get the flu.

Because they do not care.  I have been tempted to spray Lysol in their face when they cough on me.  And you actually do not know that a cold, the flu, or something like that is ALL that they have.  TB is very contagious and is making a come back with a vengeance in some areas.  And the people who are sick do not care.  There was a local woman had it a few years ago and she refused to stay at home.  She eventually was arrested and cuffed to a bed and a cop stationed outside her room at the hospital because that is the ONLY way they could keep her quarantined.

Shannon called into his work and spoke with his boss.

"I think I am coming down with a bad case of the flu."

His boss listened in silence as Shannon continued.

"I have got aches and pains everywhere.  My head hurts.
I am nauseous, I feel week, I have a temperature.
And I have a wee cough,"

"OK, so you have a wee cough?" said his boss.

"Oh, thank you," said Shannon, "I am going to need at least a week off."

Ha Ha that is so funny. Love it! I think it is still flu season according to what I am seeing on the news. It seems there is also a new strain of the flu.

I heard a story on the news within the past week that some public health expert is predicting that the height of flu season has yet to hit. I didn't listen to the story that closely since I was in the other room at the time, but maybe there is something to it.
