Interesting Observation
« on: April 03, 2019, 10:07:09 am »
I discovered this quite by accident, because I always run a website that pays me for watching videos on the side (no matter what else I am doing on my computer) and I normally use Chrome for my browser.

Today I also used Firefox as my second window, because one of the traffic exchanges I use requires it to get the bonuses that pop up and you miss out if you ue Chrome.

When I finished with the traffic exchange, I went ahead and opened Fusioncash in the same Window and ran it while I watched videos on the side.

When I used to run Chrome for both activities it was annoying that every time I clicked to open a new FC survey it would open over the the top of my video window and I like to watch my progress in both windows.

Today when I used Firefox for Fusioncash, when I clicked a survey it would open on top of my survey list and I got 45 cents worth of DQ's in about half the time.

Little things can make a big difference.

Nice Find.

In Windows 10, on most browsers I have tried, I can click on the very top of the webpage (not the tab with website name but the blank space in between the tab and the minimize/full screen/close buttons) and hold down while clicking, drag it all the way to left or right. This makes it exactly half my screen, and done twice to each side is perfect for having 2 windows open simultaneously while always being able to view both.

I guess I need a video to follow this, doesn't seem to work for me. I tried both Chrome and Firefox.

Hmm.. I would try searching "Make windows 10 browser split screen" or something of that nature.

You do have to drag it WAY to the left or right, it only works when you pull it way over then release the mouse. Do not know about Chrome, but definitely works on Firefox.

I see Windows key + Right Arrow sets up the right side and Window key + Left Arrow for the other, which might come in handy.

I found a fix if it doesn't work:

Not working ? Try turn snap on ..... Setting | System | Multitasking Under Snap, click On

This is true, but something to be aware of. There is only one active program at a time on a computer, even if there are two programs each taking up half the screen. Not all offers are particular, but I know some videos have to be in the active window for them to credit. Just something you should be aware of.

Some offers do require the page to "remain on top" as it were. But to say there is only ever one active program at a time on a computer? NO way. How can I be listening to music or streaming a video while actively browsing / other activities if this were true? A modern computer surely is capable of concurrently running multiple programs simultaneously. Perhaps one is considered "currently active" while the others are "secondarily active".

I agree, I have had two Windows streaming videos from different sources at the same time and got credit from both of them.

Even tho i use Chrome most of the time there are sites that just run better with Internet Explorer i have seen for myself.

I hated Windows 10...just too confusing and i was never comfortable with it.

I guess its like toilet tissue how u prefer to hang it.
