Healthy eating.
« on: May 04, 2019, 08:57:23 am »
Do you eat healthier this year than you did last year? I am trying to be better, but sometimes I do slip up with the "bad version" of foods.

I try to eat healthier daily but 'fall off the wagon" every few days.  I look at it that, at least, I am not eating badly every day.  All you can do is try and after you eat a meal or snack that isn't the best, start over again.  I'm simply not that disciplined!  I would like to be that disciplined as I would really like to lose about 12-15 pounds but we'll see.

Yes I can definitely say so especially the last few weeks I have really cut back on sugar.

I think I eat pretty healthy overall. My biggest struggle is that I don't like a lot of veggies. But I love most fruits thankfully.

I eat pretty healthy, being born and grown up in Asian countries, fish and vegetables are my food always. I have a balance in eating but sometimes there are days that ice cream and chocolate cake are heaven.

I do my best to eat healthy and choose healthy snacks throughout the day. It's hard sometimes but there are so many great healthy choices out there.....

Good for you. Sugar is a bad boy for health. It affects all your organs in a negative way.

Plus, if you have any infection going on, you should lay off sugar because it feeds infection.  :sad1:

I eat what I can afford.  I eat more squash and zucchini in the summer because we grow it in the garden.  And it is cheap if you purchase at the store.  I try not to buy too much at the store because of all the recalls on the vegetable stuff every year.  We have a guy at our church that sells tons of stuff at our local farmer's market.  We get a lot from him.

I'm trying to eat healthier, but a lot of time the convenience of bad foods is what gets me. And unless you like eating rice/beans 4 nights a week, it's so much more expensive to eat healthy.

lol Exactly.  I can get a cheese burger at McDonalds for $1 or a salad for $7.  Which do you think I am going to choose....

We eat more produce in the summer time.  Kroger has fruit and some vegetables on the 99 Cent bin  we use in the winter.
