I would take one if it was one that I liked. I like the gel and it has to have a fine tip.

It is an awesome pen!!!

This is my deciding factor. I am a little bit picky about the pens that I write with. If it is a crappy design or difficult to use/grip, then I'll pass.  Even though free is free, if I never use it = it's just another piece of junk taking up precious space in my junk drawer.

I do not have a lot of luck with gel ink pens.  I also don't see those given away often although our bank has some.

This one was just a cool looking pen and it writes pretty good. Glad I snagged one.

Oops! 1imaginarygirl-you are right. I misunderstood the question.
By the way, I get lots of "free ink pens" at local job fairs. And, they are great!

I'm pretty sure that I haven't paid for a pen in years. I usually take a free one whenever one is offered (hotels and banks especially). I always have pens on me because you never know when you will need them.

My husband collected them and every time I find a box and open it to see what's inside it's more pens and pencils so NO I do not take the free advertising pens

I use to but now I prefer black. It just seems more professional looking especially on applications.

Huh...  Go figure.

I personally prefer blue for similar reasons.  I am a professional and try to sign any documents in blue ink because photocopies are so much better these days that it is sometimes impossible to tell an original from a photocopy if it is signed in black ink. I sometimes have to resort to feeling the back of the paper to see if there is an actual pen impression or not and even that does not always work.  So I have a pretty strict habit (almost OCD) of always signing things in blue ink.

I sure do.  I can't remember the last time I paid for a pen.  if they are free, why not take one?

Well that makes sense. Never thought about some one photo copying my signature.  Thanks. Now I have something else I can stress about. haha

I use to always use blue ink.  Always.  I don't know why I started using black.  I like both.  I also really like, for non-professional needs, purple.  Heck when I was a teenager I probably filled out a few apps in pink or purple. We were allowed to use the pink, purple, green ink pens in high school unless it was like a big research paper or something.  I just remember one teacher saying she would not accept anything but a basic blue or back ink. She was a butt. lol

Sometimes when you go to something like the street fairs they have in the fall a lot of places will have free ink pens.  And some of them are really cool.  I don't just take them like every time I go to the bank because some of those are pretty basic.  Although if you need them why not.  We have a check cashing place that leaves them every where in town for people to take.  I may have a few of those.  They leave them on the porch at our church all the time.  Like a handful of them.  Our pastor uses them all the time.

Sure I take free ink pens. I sometimes ask when I'm not offered one. I have yet to have someone tell me no.
