Heard good things about this movie. I'll just watch it whenever it comes on TV.

Forgive me if this sounds rude, but I like the cartoon Aladdin movie better. Remakes just mean doing many of the same things over and not usually outshining anything original.

I remember when that came out years ago and I had to watch that all the time with my exgirlfriend. That was like watching paint dry on the wall. I guess they made it into a real type movie since Will Smith is in it.  :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey: :turkey:

I haven't watched the movie yet. However, based on the preview and customer reviews, I am looking forward to it. There was a video not too long ago of Will Smith remaining in his Genie character for some small children. It was absolutely adorable.

Disney was smart to use Will Smith. It has made people more curious about the movie.

Why?  I don't care who voices the characters.  It is more about what the movie is about.

I actually participated in a survey about this movie on another site.  I don't really care WHO voices the characters.

It's not about voicing the character. It's about seeing the actual character on-screen in a live action feature. Having Will Smith in it gives the movie its marquee name even if the movie is already beloved in a previous version. There will be many who will not want to see this because the animated version was perfect.

Now that Disney seems to be giving all these animated films the live-action treatment. it's a bit of a tougher sell. I, for one, have not been interested in these live-action remakes at all. But hearing Will Smith's name was enough to pique my curiosity. I may nor may not see it but it's enough to put it on my radar for consideration.

I've only seen the cartoon version when my son was little, he's 28 now.

I like Will Smith and he is about the only one who could follow Robin Williams
