We tried a couple of the frozen ones and I might say  hubby  did not  care for them.  Nor I.  Way to much salt for me, and the bottoms  of the pies never got  crisp. He prefers the ones we make at home, well I do mostly, He likes a crisp  pie crust on the bottom as well as on top.  So when I make  a couple for us, I usually make several and freeze them. Really comes in handy if we have been out of the house  whole day chopping wood or going out of town. We can come home and pop a couple in the  oven and go on about our business.

Oh, that's a shame. We don't have any Marie Callender's restaurants anywhere near us, so I've never been to one, but I still hate to hear that a business has gone under. Oh, well, at least they'll still be selling their frozen foods, which we do buy every week!  :peace:

I ate in on years ago in California.  They don't have any where I live.  I like her frozen dinners.

I didn't know the was a MC restaurant. I like the Penna & chicken dish. I also like their mac & cheese dish. They're cheap fast & easy to warm up in the microwave. Helps alot of low income & starving college students get throu the month without having to rely on ramon soup. It get's kind of old eating soup everyday!

I really never went to this place. Too much money for something you can do at home for less the price.

I knew about the restaurants but I've never been to one. At least the frozen foods and desserts will still be available!

Marie Callendar has Restaurants?  I didn't know that.  I wonder how long before they close even the frozen food items.

I just drove by a Marie Callendars restaurant today, still open for business in Orange, California... they had a banner for a special deal for a Banana Cream Pie for $8.99 -- I thought about getting one, but didn't.  For Marie Callendar's pies, that was a pretty good deal.

I too didn't know there were restaurants!  I guess they aren't on the westside. ??  But we've purchased frozen foods before.
