Thursday night football
« on: September 27, 2019, 04:06:23 am »
There were a lot of injuries last night - maybe it's not good for players to be playing after only 3 days off?

While that may be true, I do think it's safe to say that injuries happen no matter how many days off these guys have.

It's a brutal, violent sport no matter how 'healthy' a player is.  Injuries are becoming much more common and even more serious as time goes on.

It is what players choose to do if they continue playing and apparently it's what some of the fans want to see as well.

Packers should've ran it at the end. They had the time outs to give it a shot. I knew they'd throw a pick in the end zone.

Agreed.  Two guys got carted off one on the packers and one on the eagles.  Hopefully they are okay!

Missed it but plan to watch a rerun on the weekends to see what happen.

When did they add Thursday football? Do they have it on Monday also?

Sunday night, Monday night, Thursday night of any year and it always means the same thing, a loss for the Bengals. Even with a healthy team they continuously manage to *bleep* defeat out of the jaws of victory! Watch, even with Roethlisberger on the injury list the Steelers will still make the Bengals look silly. Sorry, don't mean to rant, I know there are more serious things to complain about other than a clueless bunch of rich athletes.

I don't really don't think they need to air football on TV three times a week. Once a week would be fine with me. I guess maybe if I loved football as some do it would be fine. I do like it but I don't watch that much.

I don't care at all about football.  They all know what they're getting into when they start playing and they get paid well for it.

The Thursday game has been low quality from the beginning.

Packers should have ran it more.  Patriots are the only sure thing.
