Christmas music and decorations!

Every year there seems to be a discussion on when Christmas music, decorating, advertising begins.  It seems more appropriate after the Thanksgiving dinner dishes are washed and put away, however, who am I to enforce that?  I give up as I've watched the retailers prepare earlier each year for those shoppers who push the envelope for seasonal shopping.  As far as decorating goes, each to his/her own.  It is a magical time of the year and I hope the *magic* keeps it that way.

I don't think it's too early. It only comes once a year, so may as well celebrate as long as you can! I haven't decorated yet but plan to soon.

It is YOUR choice on how you let things effect you.  I personally like the decorations being available now in the stores.  I don't care if they play Christmas music now.  As for pushing their sales and all that, I also do not care.  That does not effect me.  I don't think it takes anything away from Christmas.  I don't let retail stores dictate how I feel.

I usually wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving. But I might start a little earlier this year because Thanksgiving is so late.

I think it is too early, but some people just cannot wait.  I have gotten better I will start putting up decorations after Thanksgiving.

Ive been doing it for 3 weeks now Not as much with the music tho, we have a local station on Nov 1st they play all Christmas till Dec 26th, but they keep playing the same stuff every year

It is never too early to put up Christmas decorations in November. My grandmother puts hers up in early November, and I did the same as well. I do that before I even think about buying Christmas presents.

Some people have put their Christmas Decorations before Thanksgiving and everything else.  Along with flashing lights.
