Made my choice.  Don't need phone, can't trade down on TV package with Combase/Xfinity. All I need is internet. I need to figure out the costs for what I need and juggle if necessary.

I'm going with Firestick, Sling, Philo and/or Hulu. I hope hubby will be able to understand how to use them. That would be the only reason I would not cut the cord now. In the past 2 weeks, he has been having trouble even changing the channel on the remote and I can't figure out why. If I would stick with Xfinity, it would be wonderful to have the voice remote. I'm sure he couldn't screw that up. :D.

Direct TV is no better than Dish.  They will quote you one price and before you know it, it will be just as high as Dish.  There customer service sucks.

We have Direct Tv and honestly I find it expensive but the fiance has to have it for the football season. We even tried to lower our bill and it only helped us by maybe 15 dollars.

We have used DirecTV for 8 years and are still with them.  Their prices a re a little high, bu yo can talk with them and they will give you some of their current discounts.

We have not had a TV provider for 12 years now. When we first moved, after losing our home we couldn't afford it. Now we don't even miss it. I can tell you though my mother-in-law has direct TV and has had alot of problems with it. It goes out alot and getting them to make service calls is rough. I know she would not recommend it at all. She does not have a choice of providers where she lives so she cannot change.

They usually have a good deal for new customers.  After that they're not so good.

All the providers are the same to me, they get you in for a deal, that last only for a time, before hitting you with increase costs...bait and switch

There are so many choices out there, it makes my head spin around.  Recently, we have been looking into getting a digital antenna.  Our daughter is hosting a TV show on a new network and the only way we can get it in our area is if we have a digital antenna.  I've started doing some research, but really don't understand how it works or "if" it will work in our part of town. I guess the only thing to do is get one and try!  Wish DirectTV would carry it.

So, we got our first internet bill since switching completely to the internet for tv. With all the extra data we had to buy this month our bill was 223.00 dollars same as the dish bill use to be .so I told my husband what since did it make to make the change?

I still have Hulu not live but don't know much about Philo, love internet tv but we can't keep enough internet to provide for everyone especially now that I am homeschooling 5 kids instead of one
