For all of the members who are paying 200.00 a month for Dish all I can say is, WOW!  My husband and I had Dish a few years ago and we got a bunch of channels for less than 50.00 a month; it was more like around 30.00 or so.

I don't know if times have changed that much and prices have gone through the roof or a 200.00 a month package is considered some kind of super ultimate supreme package.

We have basic limited which is fine and we also use ROKU which I really like.  There is also an antenna  in the house somewhere that we have to try just to see how many local stations we can get absolutely free of any monthly charges. Some of those antennas work out pretty good from what I have seen.

I have never have Direct TV, I had Dish I had it a few years ago and Hate it, we did not get what we were promised, the channels were not there and every time it rained or there was string winds we lost signals, i lasted 2 months and cancel it.  Right now we have cable, but we are about to cut the cord too, I have Amazon firestick, Netfilx and Hulu and we just got an antenna which we will be installing soon for the local channels.  I can watch Modbro, pluto TV for free and even have Kodi for some movies.

We have Internet without TV and added Hulu+ with Live TV for $45 a month and it includes our local channels and the sports games we watch.

Don't have any Tv providers now but when I did I prefer Dish over Direct TV, I don't know what Direct TV is offering now so I can't help with that just that my past experience with them was horrid and costly with no benefits to channels at all.

I had DirecTV but cancelled it.  It was getting too expensive and, somehow, extra stuff was getting put on my bill every month.  It happened for 3 months in a row before I finally cancelled it.  I have DirecTV now, through my firestick and it's getting too expensive, too.  I'd like to get rid of it but it does have DVR and keep it for my dad.  If he wasn't around, I'd cancel that.  Expedite has tons of channels and other content, movies, TV shows and it's only $25 a month.  And, you can use it on 5 screens.  DirecTV now is only 2 screens at once.

I have Hulu Live TV and we almost always watch it. The best part is live sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, College) and local news, network shows like Bull, Rise Up, 60 Minutes and you can record them to watch later. You can get a free trial to see for yourself,

It does take some getting used to, but we mastered it in a month or two.

We still use DirecTV, but watch most of our shows through Apple TV.  We started out with DISH, but could get a better deal with DIRECT, so switched, I'm not quite ready to cut the cord, but am thinking about it.

I have only had the streaming version of Directtv. it worked well and was much cheaper than cable, however it had some kinks that needed to be worked out.

I used to have direct tv. They were okay. Expensive. The customer service reps were always nice and polite. We cut all cable and satellite services though a few years ago. We only stream now.

It is not worth paying that much for Direct tv. I have only had the streaming Direct tv where I watched on my roku, but I canceled that because they went up on that as well. Philo tv is so much better.
