shiny hair
« on: November 16, 2019, 11:41:11 am »
After you're done shampooing and rinsing, try rinsing one more time with cold water. It gets all the soap out and your hair will be shinier.

Of course, I had to get used to using cold water to rinse my hair in the shower. Brrr! :santa: But it only takes a few seconds and then you can warm yourself back up. I love shiny hair.

I love shiny hair, too! That cold water rinse trick is super easy and effective. For a lot of people, there's no need for special shampoos and conditioners, hair masks, etc. I remember when I was little though, my hair was so thick that my mom would rinse the soap out with a water/vinegar mixture. I hated the smell, and I still hate the smell of vinegar to this day!  :peace:

When I was a teenager, I read in a magazine to rinse your hair with vinegar to make it super soft and shiny. The article said "don't worry, the smell goes away once your hair is dry." It's a lie! My hair smelled like vinegar ALL day. It was gross.  :-X

Never heard of this vinegar thing. May consider it. May google it and then give it a try!

Or maybe I should try the cold water thing first. Maybe I'll wait till summer though, when it is hot. It may be nice then.

I have heard of this tip but would only try it in the summer months because I don't like cold temps.

Thanks for this tip, but I don't think I can bring myself to rinse my hair in cold water in the shower. Brr! Nice hot showers are the best!
