I don't celebrate holidays, but this season really gets to me after a while. It's not just the lack of sunshine, but also the lack of color. Everything is dead and grey. I've started taking vitamin D, so hopefully that will help keep the deep blues at bay this winter.

I like the holidays, but winter gets me down.  Too much grey and beige.  I got my first garden seed catalog last week and felt like sobbing.  Oh well.  Not much a person can do, but stick it out for a few months and find something worthwhile to do.

I don't have depression.  People put too much expectation about what a fairytale tv version of what the holiday's are supposed to look like.  I don't get caught up in the hype.  It's just another day.

I don't necessarily get depressed but I can definitely see why others may. It can be a stressful time of the year. I do get stressed at my job because it is also a busier time of the year and more work hours which in turn means more time away from my family.

Holiday depression is real.  To anyone suffering with it, we love you and your presence in this world makes a difference whether you know it or not.

I think I got that way one year because I was suppose to spend the holidays with a specific person and it didn't happen but I am not going to let that get me down. There are more important things to be down about then the holidays as far as I am concerned. :P

I don't like the romance type holiday movies.  I like the funny and animated Christmas movies.  it isn't just another day.  But I do see how people who don't have a lot of family or any family can get down this time of year.
