My male cat is in heat, i think..

My husband doesn't want my cat neutered because it removes the testicles. I myself didn't know that's the process but have been noticing a wild smell throughout my apartment. I don't have any female cats for him to mate with and don't want to bring any old cat off the street. He does meow a lot at times and has a lot of energy. I use wax melts throughout my apartment and it helps alot but is my cat suffering because he can't mate right now?

I see where your hubby does not want to have him neutered, but it is really the best thing for your kitty.  My apartment neighbors had a male cat that was not fixed and sprayed in their apartment and I could smell it in our apartment.

Yes, he's going to be stressed out and possibly aggressive or destructive if he can't mate.

Yep, this is true. Get him neutered ASAP, because the longer he's spraying, the harder it will be to get him to stop.

I think only female cars go into heat. l My daughter found a kiten and took him to be checked out, got shots and everything.  When she tom him to be fixed, they found out he was a SHE!  A shock and good laugh for the family
