I'm so upset

We had our Granddaughter this past weekend and she said 'Nana Mommys boyfriend told me that Daddy doesn't care about me and that made me sad".....My Son is her Daddy and he loves her so much and would do ANYTHING for her. My son broke up with her Mom years ago. Why do some guys have to be a jerk and try and turn a child against their Daddy? ...She is 7 years old and this breaks  my heart

Hi Judylucas, oh he does that for sure. But then you get this jerk trying to convince her otherwise. I told her that some guys cant accept the fact that their wife/girlfriend has another mans child and they get jealous and say mean things. She said "Nana I think he gets mad because I love my Daddy more than him, he's my Daddy of course I'm going to love him more" awwwe

Hopefully it's just a matter of time until mom realizes her boyfriend is a scum bag and then your granddaughter won't have to hear those hurtful lies. A week before Christmas too, what a classless piece of work this boy "friend" is! boy is a good word for him, a REAL man wouldn't stoop so low!

Why did your son leave?  You said her mom so I assume they were not married.  I guess she believes it because she probably thinks if he did care about her he would not have walked out of her life.  Most times in a divorce or whatever this is both parents usually try to turn the kid against the other.

That makes me so angry what is wrong with people?  My sister-in-law is just devastated because her granddaughter's mom got remarried and so now she is doing the same except she isn't even letting them see her - they are having to g to court to have to get things straightened out.  I am so sorry this is happening to you people are too stupid to realize they are hurting the children.  I will pray for you guys that she will straighten up and see things as they are and what they are doing to everyone.

My son NEVER walked out on his daughter, he is very much in HER life just not the mothers. He left because she was a lying cheat. Accused him of something he would NEVER do and had him sit in jail for a month till it went to trial and he was found innocent. Her BF is the scum of the earth and is only trying to turn his daughter against him. Like I told my Granddaughter. Some guys just get so jealous of another mans child and will say/do ANYTHING to ruin the loving relationship they have with one another. He is a sick B*****D !!

I would be  upset too.  Age 7 is a vulnerable age to hear that.  Possibly you are the only one who can reassure her of her worth and that you AND her Daddy love her.

How awful & hurtful of a man to tell a little girl that her father doesn't care about her, what an insecure sicko.  I'm so sorry your granddaughter is in this situation, but it sounds like she has a very caring, & positive grandmother that is there for her.
