What i almost threw away

I try and check my mail and even junk mail before I throw it away or recycle it. There was a time where survey companies sent cash in the mail only 1 or 2 bucks but hey I'm glad I opened it.

Yeah I threw some money in the trash by accident.  I didn't fish it out because it was nasty lol.

Yes, I have! I was cleaning out my junk mail pile & found a FC cash out check I forgot I had & never cashed. Ir was cash out check a year old. Never again, I deposit/cash my FC checks when it comes in the mail!

I have not that I know of, I would be upset, but luckily if it is a check you can get replaced.  I love automatic deposit.

Suffice it to say I am not the most organized person in the world.  I was half heartedly going through some papers and recent mail and almost threw a check away that I didn't know was hidden in the middle of an escrow statement.  I barely saw it.  Lord only knows how much money that I have thrown away or failed to get because I don't check lottery tickets.  Have you ever done anything like this?

So, does that mean you may have thrown away money before.  Delivery of  junk mail is highest everyday with no let up.

I have thrown away a check away in the past and even torn it up.  It is was a small dividend stock check and did not realized it until I told my husband that we received it.  There is a sheet just with our name and address that I meant to tear up and throw out but instead I torn up the check.  He called the company and they stopped payment on the check and reissued it.

No I don't recall throwing any money away but I have gone thru unopened mail and found a check with about one or two days before expiring,  Now I try to open all the mail in a timely manner even the junk.

Last year I threw away the application papers for a senior tax refund from my state that we were eligible for and could have gotten several hundred dollars for free from.
