You do need to wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds with soap and water (sing happy birthday once).  It does help the germs are spread b everything you touch such as door knobs, counters shared pens or pencils.  Wipe anything down you can with Lysol (or that type) wipes, do not touch your face, nose mouth or eyes until after you wash your hands because that is how most viruses are spread through touching items with germs on them.  This is one reason viruses go rampant through schools, the kids share everything.  Masks do very little good except for getting you not to touch your own face.

For a little perspective...

The coronavirus has caused just under 2,900 deaths worldwide so far, but almost all of them were in China. The population of China is almost 1.5 billion.

The flu kills 12,000 to 61,000 people every year, just in the U.S. alone. Population of U.S. is only 331 million.

I am not concerned at this point but will have to wait and see what happens in the United States.

At this point I am not to concerned about it. The media loves scaring the public and making it look like an epidemic.  I am more concerned about the Flu and deaths than the coronavirus at this point.
Exactly. Plus if you’re not asian it’s not lethal.

I really wasnt concerned at all when it first started, but now I am getting a little spooked. You just never know who has been next to an infected person, and if they are sick but not showing signs.  Going to the grocery store, makes me think twice now :(

I know dogs have their own version of Coronavirus, is this new stuff a hybrid of that kind?

Corona virus and Rhino virus both have numerus strains.  My Dad had a corona virus in early January, but it is not this one that is now so active.  It was basically a very bad cold.  The comment about having to be Asian for it to be lethal was ridiculous.  People in several different countries are dying from it.

Let's hope medical doctors are able to find a vaccine for the Coronavirus. More people are getting infected from it.

Please contact your county health department for the latest information.

Don't listen to Democrats - they are trying to get elected & they will scare people into a panic mode!

This is a new strain. They have said that repeatedly. Maybe they should have come up with a totally different name. Some people have to make jokes out of every thing and also have to bring race in to every thing.  This is not just a really bad cold.  Nor is it just the flu.  It is a lot worse and a lot of people are dying.  You can scream oh the flu kills more people all you want.  Look at the medical staff wearing hazmat to treat the patients.  They do not do that to treat someone with the flu.

Depends on your local health department.  Ours is a joke.  If you called and inquired about this they would snarl off and say just watch the news.  I have heard a lot of this is politically motivated and even heard it is fake news and none of this is happening.  You have no idea what to believe any more.

Hate to even do a post about this certainly don't want to be a fear monger but is anyone else concerned about this besides me?  I try to remain positive about just about everything but this seems to be expanding.  Looked at masks online today and most places sold out and those who weren't were price gouging.

That is scary.  Is this in Orlando?
