Mother's Day
« on: May 09, 2020, 07:43:18 am »
Hello All-

Just wondering what everyone is doing for Mother's Day this year?  Our children are grown and out of the house, so we can't really be with them this year.   :(

Maybe you can facetime or zoom your adult children or have a group chat of some sort?

I don't plan to speak to my mother but I'm looking forward to the celebration my kids put together for me in house.

This will be a different Mothers Day for me.  We always went out to dinner, my husband, two daughters and their families.  After dinner we would come back to our home.  This year we will face time together.

My Mother's Day will probably be some special meals prepared by my husband and my two grown boys. We don't really do presents for Mother's Day because our cat would massacre any flowers brought into the house and I definitely don't need chocolates, LOL! They can never figure out what to buy me anyway because I pretty much gift myself with anything I really want. So they save their money and go out of their way to gift me in ways really count to me, such as letting me sleep in, fixing all the meals, etc.  :peace:

My mother lives with me so I'm blessed to be able to spend her special day with her. I spent her flowers that were delivered today and I plan on making her favorite meal tomorrow.  :rose: :rose:

Same here.  My daughter and I usually plant together and then have dinner but this year there are no flowers to plant (still frosty nights here) and she works at hospital and it is her only day off in two weeks and we need to social distance.

First of all, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the Moms in the forum  :rose: :rose: :rainbow: :present:

We usually do a brunch somewhere, but this year it will be a dinner at home with my husband, 2 grown daughters and my 2 beautiful grand babies.  1 of my daughter's and my granddaughter live with us, and she says she will cook, of course I will help her.  My other daughter and grandson live about 10 minutes from us and she will be coming over.  This she has been doing anyways, she drops my grandson anytime she needs to go groceries and also when my grandson neds to come and burn some energy with his cousin.
